Visual-Perceptual Reconstruction of Those Burned in 405 AD. Sibylline Books.

The Sibyls are the legendary ancient Greek soothsaying mediums mentioned by many ancient authors such as Virgil and Titus Livius.

In this project, our contemporaries, the girls we meet on the street, in the subway, in cafes, in the office, etc., act as the Sivillas. They may smile at you, but you will never be able to tell with certainty what they are thinking, much less what kind of dreams they are having. This project is a perceptual reconstruction of real dreams, a synthesis of the conscious and the unconscious, the real and the virtual, through visualization and the involvement of new media technologies that make it possible to convey the idea in a more multifaceted way, and the audience becomes direct participants. The project is based on the contradiction between the inner and outer world. This is not an attempt to interpret a dream - this is an artistic rethinking, an expression of the elusive through a minimalist entourage and technical means. An attempt to penetrate the lens beyond the border of linear perspective.

Synthetic dreams

Editing: Sonya Khaustova

This is the most impenetrable and incomprehensible, the most cherished and attractive — Dream world. A world of wonderful images and terrible nightmares. Mysterious and alluring, sugary-sweet and salty in taste, spicy and bitter, vicious and virgin, eternal, like the World itself…

This is not an attempt to interpret dreams, but, let's say, the amplification of the image through artistic rethinking, the expression of the imperceptible through minimalistic surroundings and technical means. An attempt to penetrate the lens beyond the border of linear perspective.

Dreaming in first person. Told by a direct participant and a witness who survived him. Here the narrator plays the role of a modern Sibyl, a medium-prophet connecting the world invisible to us with our world. We are only acting as a receiver. We are just an amalgam, just a wax tablet, pliantly accepting the pressure of the stylus, but sensitive to the slightest temperature difference and melting, and transforming what is entrusted to the pen.

The Sibyl spins the lunar fiber - we carefully weave silver threads into it. The song of the subconscious, flowing to the visual accompaniment.

Passing mediumistic visions through the prism of our worldview and sensations, we invariably bring into them the world of our own fantasies and dreams. The result is an image multiplied by perception and raised to a power, a visual synthesis of the conscious and the unconscious, the real and the virtual — Synthetic Dreams.

The main feature of the project is that it harmoniously and inseparably merges different ways of cognition and transmission of reality: photography, video, music, the Internet, performance and installation, which allows anyone who wants to become a member of the project.
